SAME OBJECTIVE. UPGRADED MATERIAL.
When the SR-71 launched in the 60s, one of the most advanced military aircraft ever conceived took flight with an extraordinary material. Titanium gave the SR-71 strength and resilience, reducing weight while maintaining the structural integrity required for extreme environments. It was a material chosen for capability, not convention.
In 2026, a new mission starts and that same philosophy will be applied to the GSAR— Marathon’s most sought-after model—re-engineering it in TAA-compliant grade 5 titanium for the first time ever.
PROVEN PLATFORM. ADVANCED ABILITY.
Commonly known as the Government Search and Rescue, the 41mm GSAR was Marathon’s first Type II automatic SAR watch. Since its introduction, it’s become one of the most trusted SAR platforms. And now, the GSAR becomes the first standard production model to be offered in a lightweight, titanium case.
The titanium version will be powered by the Sellita SW200-2 Top Grade movement equipped with Incabloc® Shock Absorber, notable for its 65-hour power reserve and elevated timekeeping precision.
The dial has been designed with several subtle differences compared to the steel GSAR version, including a black date wheel, updated typeface, and the “Ti” letters in “AUTOMATiC” set in red to represent the periodic table’s symbol for titanium.
