Jumbo Self-Setting Wall Clock
- Description
When the U.S. government needed a wall-mounted atomic clock for its offices—something large, legible, and always accurate—Marathon answered the call. Featuring a display that’s easily read from up to 30 feet away, the Jumbo Wall clock also provides a gold standard level of accuracy.
The clock's self-setting and self-adjusting functions use radio frequencies broadcast from NIST's Colorado Atomic Clock and the DCF77 transmitter near Frankfurt, Germany.
Over the years, thoughtful improvements have been made to the original design:
- A slimmer profile for easier wall mounting
- Option to display in six languages: English, French, Dutch, Italian, German, or Spanish
- More intuitive controls for simplified setup and adaptability for multiple time zones across the globe
- Temperature select in Celsius or Fahrenheit
- Date / Month or Month / Date display
- Dual antenna to support both North American and European radio signals—critical for U.S. operations overseas
- A split-display design that separates the time and other functions, reducing power usage without sacrificing visibility
With its oversized digital readout and automatic synchronization with radio signals, the Jumbo Self-Setting Wall Clock remains a trusted timekeeping tool—in offices, classrooms, operations centres, hospitals, and homes across the globe.
